Elite Academy Lincoln Director of Coaching
Tom is a native of Lincoln, NE and spent his youth playing soccer for teams within the Capital Soccer Association and Gladiator soccer clubs. Upon graduating from Lincoln East H.S., Tom played soccer and earned his bachelor’s degree in Biology and Secondary Education from Rockford College in Rockford, IL. After completing his undergraduate education, Tom was employed as a secondary school teacher in the Northern Illinois area for five years. During his eleven years in the Northern Illinois area, Tom gained experience in coaching at the club, high school and collegiate levels. In 2001, Tom and his family left Illinois for Kansas State University where he completed a Master’s degree in Animal Science and a doctoral degree in Animal Physiology. During his time in Kansas, Tom continued to be involved in soccer serving as a club staff coach and U8 Academy director for the Little Apple Soccer Club in Manhattan, KS. In 2006, Tom, his wife Jen and their family (Kyley, Kelsey, Kieran, and Auren) returned to Lincoln he is currently employed as an Associate Professor in the Department of Animal Science at the University of Nebraska Lincoln. Since returning to Lincoln, Tom and Jen have been actively involved in coaching youth soccer. Tom has devoted much of his spare time to developing young soccer players over the past 25 years.
Tom is the current Director of Coaching for Elite Academy Lincoln as well as being the Head Coach of the EBA 07 Maroon Lincoln team.
